R&P POLYPLASTIC takes part in “Composites and Compounds 2017”

Participants of the annual “Composites and Сompounds 2017” conference in the Moscow Baltschug Kempinski hotel discussed domestic compound market dynamics. To the organizer’s opinion, domestic demand for compounds fell and supplier’s raw materials prices reduced the refining margin the whole period in 2015 – 2016. Nevertheless, local successes of the industry connected with innovative segments of the market can be witnessed.

Sergey Kiselev, deputy head of market development of R&P POLYPLASTIC was the expert on the matter. He presented an analytical report on the global and domestic market. Positive news was the increase of the share of export by 13% but the problem of high raw material prices remains.

To summarize, Russian compound processors lack a transparent price setting system on basic products and duty-free import of chemical materials, which have no domestically produced equivalents.
