Polyolefines 2017 Conference taking place in Moscow for the 7th time

R&P POLYPLASTIC Head of science and development Mikhail Katsevman spoke at the Polyolefines 2017 discussion platform, which for the 7^th time unites business community to analyze key objectives of the industry.

According to the organizers of the Conference proportion of Polyolefines amounts to 40% of plastics processing products. Year after year, they play an increasingly important role in people’s everyday lives including construction, autoindustry, light manufacturing and pharmaceutics. Specialists estimate that by 2020 commissioning of new capacities will allow to extend offer of Polyolefines by more than 2 million tons.

Mr. Katsevman presented a report on drivers of possible increase in production of Polyethylene and Polypropylene based materials including cable and auto industry. He also spoke about the present Polyolefines market situation characterized by increase in consumption seriously outpacing the GDP growth. Taking into account new capacities under construction and modern technologies, this may lead to enhancing competitiveness of domestic compound materials on the Russian market.

The Conference also discussed additives, which will qualitatively improve Polyolefines charachteristics, innovations and key trends. A separate issue was modern plastics processing equipment and the regulatory framework protecting the market from counterfeit goods.
