Mr. Alexander Pavlov: “Lean manufacturing contributes to export market development”

.

Director General of R&P POLYPLASTIC Mr. Alexander Pavlov presented a report at the opening of the Russian Automotive Forum – one of the leading industry events.

Traditionally several delegates and participants presented the company at the Forum. Mr. Pavlov’s report was part of the “Export potential of Russian automotive industry” session. This year R&P POLYPLASTIC shared the information on how its products manage to satisfy the European consumers. According to the speaker in the beginning, the company had to face some problems including non-competitive prices.  After deep analysis and a number of business trips to European countries the company managed to work out a strategy allowing the Russian brand to become attractive to foreign clients.

Mr. Pavlov told that R&P POLYPLASTIC launched a Lean manufacturing program assuming a package of measures. For example, the company managed to reduce energy consumption at production sites by using the latest ergonomic technologies and changing energy tariffs. Furthermore, the company purchased equipment for waste recycling which allowed to reduce production losses. Introducing the Warehouse Management System was also a success. The system made it possible to define ineffective areas and to optimize the warehouse service by 15%.

Therefore, this year the company sold its products to a number of international consumers including WOCO, ETG and GM Uzbekistan. In 2018, R&P POLYPLASTIC plans to create a distribution network in European countries to promote its products.
