25 years of successful cooperation with Russian carmakers

R&P POLYPLASTIC and GAZ Group celebrate 25 years of successful cooperation. An educational conference organized by the Russian compounder in Nizhniy Novgorod opened the event. Traditionally, speakers discussed the latest changes within the industry – modern automotive trends, use of innovative materials in the manufacturing process, problems of selecting specific brands for automotive components and etc.

R&P POLYPLASTIC and GAZ Group have come a long way together and their cooperation brought many benefits to the Russian automotive industry.  

GAZ Group is closely related to the establishment of R&P POLYPLASTIC. The two companies started their long-term cooperation from using glass-filled polypropilene instead of thermal-reactive pressmaterials for automobile heating systems.  

Since 1993 the two enterprises have been developing materials which consistently replaced metal parts in car models Volga and Gazelle. Compounds produced by R&P POLYPLASTIC are used in underhood space, interior and exterior parts up to this day. Volumes of shipment have risen dramatically. Most of plastic parts in GAZ automobiles contain R&P POLYPLASTIC compound materials.

The desire of GAZ designers and engineers to bring the company to an international level lead to these innovative achievements. “We are grateful to the GAZ team for the invaluable experience of our 25 years of cooperation. I hope we have lots of new achievements and scientific discoveries ahead of us!” said Mikhail Katsevman, Head of Research and Development of R&P POLYPLASTIC, at the conference.
