Doctor from the "Red Zone" Gave a Lecture about COVID-19 at R&P POLYPLASTIC

.

Oksana Stanevich, an infectious diseases specialist at the Center for the Treatment of COVID-19 of the Pavlov State Medical University and the Department of Epidemiology of clinics, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Research Institute, co-founder of the ViriON lecture hall, spoke to the staff. Stanevich described the peculiarities of the new coronavirus infection and shared the ways to stop the spread of COVID-19.

As a practicing doctor from the "red zone", Oksana Stanevich gave examples of the course of the disease, explained the difference between ventilator and ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation): after getting on a ventilator, only 10% of patients survive, after ECMO – even less. The doctor unequivocally assured the audience that only vaccination can protect against a fatal outcome and/or a severe course of the disease.

Stanevich also answered the most frequent questions about vaccines, debunking popular myths. In particular, she spoke in detail about Sputnik V: there are already intermediate results of the third phase of clinical trials for this widely available vaccine, in which the effectiveness and safety are evaluated. So Sputnik V protects against the Indian, Brazilian, South African and British variants of the virus, and the complications after it are minimal – the rumors circulating on the Internet are nothing more than a myth and a horror story.

After the lecture, many listeners stayed in the hall and did not let the doctor go for a long time, asking questions. "I gave similar lectures for Ozon, HAYS recruitment company, and everywhere the reaction was the same: people stay after the main time and ask, ask, ask. And it is very important that employers, like you, pay a lot of attention to the problem of COVID-19, conduct explanatory work – this best shows that you are really extremely sensitive to the health of employees," Oksana Stanevich said after the lecture.

The correctness of the approach of persuasion and information, which was chosen by R&P POLYPLASTIC for the vaccination campaign, was once again confirmed by the results of the lecture: two employees immediately after communicating with Oksana Stanevich went to get vaccinated against COVID-19 – a field vaccination point was organized by POLYPLASTIC Group on the territory of the company. Several other employees seriously thought about the need to protect themselves from coronavirus.

It remains to add that during the lecture, all security measures were strictly observed: chess seating, masks, sanitizers, the doctor previously made a test (negative).

The final results of the vaccination campaign for employees of R&P "POLYPLASTIC" will be summed up in the nearest future.
